Mrs Smita Dharkar

Born into an IAF family, Mrs. Smita Dharkar is a homemaker, with significant experience in the field of education, having taught kindergarten, primary and secondary classes across several institutions. A science graduate, she also has diplomas in diverse fields ranging from teaching Montessori and Yoga, to Hotel Management, as well as Tailoring. After her marriage to Air Marshal SP Dharkar on 27 Jul 88, she has accompanied the Air Marshal on all his assignments within the country and abroad.

She has been closely associated with AFWWA during her early days as an Air Force wife, and has functioned as Treasurer and Secretary at different AF Stations, before also being President AFFWA (L) at Bidar.

Mrs. Smita and Air Marshal SP Dharkar are blessed with two children, Ankush and Akanksha, both computer science engineers pursuing their own careers in associated fields. She likes to read, listen to music and spent lots of time with her potter plants and garden.
