Mrs Ritu Garg

Mrs Ritu Garg was born and brought up in Jaipur. She joined the
Indian Air Force family after her marriage to Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg on 07 May 1994. Ever since, she has been an actively contributing Sangini of AFFWA.

She has completed her graduation in Science and post-graduation in Economics from Rajasthan University, Jaipur and subsequently did B.Ed from Delhi. She has had significant experience as an educator at the school level.

She has accompanied the Air Officer on all the assignments and has contributed immensely towards achievement of the objective of AFFWA. During her appointment as President AFFWA (L) at 5 BRD, she ensured enhancement in the quality of life of Sanginis through empowerment and skill development. Her efforts nurtured various welfare initiatives at the Depot. Providing support to the under privileged as well as specially-abled children is a cause very close to her heart. She has been a co-opted member of Executive Committee at HQ CAC, an Executive Committee Member at HQ SWAC and Vice President AFFWA (R) at HQ MC. She was a member of Vayan core team at Air HQ. Her contribution towards Knittathon Drive at HQ SWAC and subsequently at Air HQ was remarkable and much inspirational for fellow Sanginis. Her contribution towards the publication of Golden Jubilee edition of Sangini magazine has also been noteworthy.

Mrs Ritu and Air Marshal Vijay Kumar Garg are blessed with two sons; Vinayak and Raghav. Vinayak is a graduate from IIT Madras and IIM Ahmedabad. He is presently working as a Consultant. The younger son, Raghav, studied at IIT Kanpur and is employed with a Fintech firm.

Mrs Ritu is a fitness enthusiast, who regularly does yoga and goes for long walk. She also loves listening to music. She adores her adopted pet cat.
